Funeral At Sea Planning/Cruise Planning & Booking

A cruise and funeral combined can be a funeral at sea. We are able to help you plan the cruise, in a manner that accommodates the funeral aspects of the trip in an appropriate manner. The funeral will be known only by key ship officials and those attending the funeral. It will not be a public affair, it is a private affair tastefully done to allow for a dignified service. The service can be religious or not, based on your desires and the preplanning conducted.

In addition to the funeral aspect, which requires special planning to ensure it goes smoothly, we handle the planning of the cruise for all attendees. This is necessary to ensure everyone is part of the funeral group in the eyes of the cruise line. It also allows the provision of amenities to the group as decided by the person overseeing the carrying out of the final wishes.

The cruise planning includes the onboard experience, shore excursions as may be requested, specialty dining needs, and as needed special on board support from cruise experts there to facilitate your needs. We also can assist with transportation into the port from anywhere in the world.

We can work with small family or larger groups attending a funeral, it is based on the final wishes of individual being honored that governs much of what we put together for each funeral at sea.

Pre/Post Cruise Planning & Booking

Many people have to travel from a distance to get the the cruise departure port. For this reason and the fact many people want to see the area around many of the departure/arrival ports for the cruise, we will facilitate appropriate accommodations and transportation for guests using our services. We have a wide range of accommodations available to meet the needs of clients with various levels of expectations.

Arriving at least a day ahead of time is a good idea for all cruise passengers flying in to cruise. In the case of those who participate in a funeral at sea experience given the emotions surrounding the placement of ashes and fulfilling a final request increases the tension related to traveling, so we suggest a two night lead time when flying into the port. This will allow the travelers time to reflect on the final wishes they are carrying out for their loved one.

In addition to standard accommodations and transportation, we can facilitate special dinners and tours in the departure port. This can easily be part of the celebration of your loved one's life as you prepare to carry out their final wishes.

Travel Insurance Coverage

Traveling these days is demanding and expensive. In the case of a family gathering to honor the last wishes of a dearly departed loved one, it's important that the travel plans work out well. Unfortunately, even with splendid planning, it's possible for things to go amiss leaving behind travel troubles.

We believe it is important to have travel insurance regardless of how close you live to the port because you never know what could occur during the trip requiring evacuation back home for medical care or other reasons. To that end we will help you secure a good travel insurance plan based specifically on your needs.
